EA Sports UFC 3 set for an early 2018 launch

During the same earnings call in which it discussed this year’s upcoming Need for Speed game and the future of BioWare’s new IP, Electronic Arts also confirmed the release window for the third entry in its EA Sports UFC series.

According to EA, the third game in its MMA fighting game series, which will likely be called EA Sports UFC 3, will launch during the fourth quarter of its 2018 fiscal year, so basically at some point between January 1 and March 31 of 2018. That release window falls in line with the two-year development cycle EA appears to be utilizing for the series, since the first EA Sports UFC launched in June of 2014 and its sequel, EA Sports UFC 2, launched last year in March.

Details about EA Sports UFC 3 haven’t been disclosed as of yet, but EA did confirm it will be coming to current-gen consoles as did its predecessors. More information will likely be revealed during next month’s EA Play event on June 10.
