Make Tamriel cozier with The Elder Scrolls Online’s Homestead update, coming in February

Starting in February of next year, Elder Scrolls Online players will be able to construct and decorate their own personal homes courtesy of the game’s free Homestead add-on.

According to a post from Bethesda, Homestead will be part of a larger content update which is scheduled to go live some time in February, 2017. There will be roughly 40 unique types of houses which players can gain access to and over 2,000 individual furniture and decoration pieces with which players can craft and customize their homes. While the various house types will be styled after the 10 races of Tamriel (allowing players to pick whichever ones are most visually appealing to them), your character’s race won’t limit which kinds of houses they can acquire.

More details will be revealed in the near future and Bethesda expects the Homestead update to hit the game’s public test realm sometime in January. In the meantime, you can check out the below trailer which features homes that have been decorated using the same house customization tools which players will have access to once the update is live.
