PlayStation Now launches on PC in North America today

PlayStation Now, the subscription-based service which allows users to play PlayStation 3 games via cloud-based streaming, is now available for Windows PC in North America.

According to a press release issued by Sony, PlayStation Now grants access to over 400 PlayStation 3 games, including games from classic IP’s like Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, and God of War, as well as specific games such as The Last of Us and Journey, with new games being added every month. The recommended PC specs for PlayStation Now are as follows:

  • Windows 7 (SP1), 8.1 or 10 
  • 3.5 GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8 GHz AMD A10 or faster
  • 300 MB or more; 2 GB or more of RAM
  • Sound card; USB port

PlayStation Now is normally only available via one of two subscription options, one-month plans for $19.99 per month or three-month plans for $44.99 (about $15 per month). However, to celebrate PlayStation Now’s PC launch, Sony is offering a limited-time one-year subscription plan for $99.99 (or a little over $8 per month).
