Xbox Game Pass will get at least five new games every month

Microsoft’s recently launched Xbox Game Pass allows Xbox One users to download and play a growing library of games for a small monthly subscription, and Microsoft recently detailed how quickly the library of available titles will grow over the next several months.

On the Xbox Daily E3 Stream, Xbox Game Pass senior product manager Dennis Ceccarelli said at least five new games will be added to the service each month, and the games that are added will encompass a wide range of different genres:

"So on the first of every month, you're going to see at least five new games enter the Game Pass catalogue — every single month. Again, we're really trying to give a great mix of games across different ratings, different experiences, different genres, so no matter who you are, if you're a Game Pass member, every single month there's something new for you to play."

As for how long specific games will remain available through the program, Ceccarelli said there aren’t really any specific timeframes worked out at the moment, but he did promise that no games will be removed between now and November:

“While there's not one set amount of time that a game will be in the catalogue, and some titles will leave the catalogue eventually, I want to put some fears at rest because our first games won't be leaving the catalogue until late November.”

Of course, if you find a game in the service that you really like, you could always just buy it outright, since being an Xbox Game Pass member also grants a 20 percent discount on all games in the service and a 10 percent discount on DLC.
